My Process

I am most comfortable with drawing. I have used the following mediums; acrylic paints, charcoal, oils, markers, pastel, and watercolors. I have a tendency to mix medium. For example, I will start with sketching with pencil and overlay paint whether it be watercolours’ or paint, and then finish extenuating some of the edges with pen and ink. I have found that I uncover the imagination of a piece by developing layers and layers of paint, linework or forms. In that process its hard not to feel bonded to this process of enriching a vision. That is where the hardest part comes into play, when ones calls something complete. I have found with anything, that there is always more to discover. It is when the essence has been met that can feel I can walk away with an appreciation for capturing that which has drawn me in so close to bring mind to body; pencil to paper.
